Pepper McGowan

Pepper McGowan, Piano and vocals

http://www.PepperMcGowan.com

Pepper McGowan is a self taught singer/songwriter and pianist from Cleveland. Pepper’s life as a performing musician began early, writing her first songs at eight, and playing on both coasts by twenty. In the summer of 1998, she released an 8 song EP, MARROW, under her maiden name, Pepper Acton, on Cleveland’s Sound of the Sea label.

My Projects:

McGowan’s second CD is currently in the early recording stages, and will be released this year.

Mez

Mez – Singer/Songwriter

http://people.ne.mediaone.net/ccmez

Mez, residing in the greater Boston area has been involved with music since his early childhood. Ten years of classical piano to guitar then bass which lead to songwriting and to lead vocals then to an ADAT project studio finally giving way to computer-based music recording. And practice… Mez’s latest band was TUNNEL.

His song writing is focused (or rather unfocused) in the various mutations of rock music, but it diverges into other “song oriented” genres (whatever that means).

Lucidnation

Tamra Spivey: vocals, guitar, bass
Tia Sprocket: drums, backing vocals
Grit Maldonado: bass
Ronnie Pontiac: guitar, vocals, bass
Danette Lee: guitar.

http://www.lucidnation.com

Keith Richards called their song L.A. River “marvelous,” but Lucid Nation is more like an evolving jazz ensemble than a band. With Kerouac’ s “first thought best thought” in mind, Lucid Nation practice total improvisation in the style of The Doors and The Patti Smith Group. Tamra’s raspy vocals compliment her poignant, ironic, and sometimes hilarious tales of life in the USA, soundtracked by punk, moody atmospheres, metal riffs, blues, feedback arias, and rock and roll driven by an ass kicking rhythm section.

My  Projects:

A very limited edition Lucid Nation Live on KXLU cd is available only from Lucidnation.com, features covers of Pere Ubu’s “Heart of Darkness”, CCR’s “Run Through the Jungle” and Mingus inspired sax rave ups by Liam Philpot!

Courtney Lee Adams Jr

Courtney Lee Adams Jr – vocals, acoustic guitar
Rich Feridun – electric guitar
Fred Smith – bass
Tom DeVito – drums

http://www.courtneyleeadamsjr.com

Call it Americana, call it Roots, call it “a little bit of twang and a whole lot of rock mixed in with some heart-stopping shock” – whatever you want to call it, for the past several years, Courtney Lee Adams Jr. has been writing songs and fronting her band, playing mostly at the local clubs and dives in NYC. The band features Rich Feridun on guitar (The Rogues, Tammy Faye Starlite), Fred Smith on bass (most notably of Television) and Tom DeVito on drums (Professor & Maryann).
Courtney formerly led an alternative-country band called Courtney & Western, on the Brooklyn-based Diesel Only label. Her songs from that group continue to receive international airplay, and have been licensed for use in the feature films Love & A .45 (and was happily sandwiched between Roger Miller and Johnny Cash on the Sony-released soundtrack of that film) and Cold Around The Heart.
